Reporter: Ma'am, can you tell us a little bit about your life and why do you love orphans and unfortunate children like your own?

- I don't know where I was born, what year I was born, only about 1968, 1969 or something! Because when I was born, I was thrown into the street in a plastic bag as a debt that my parents had to throw away. I also don't remember, I don't know who picked me up and brought me home, I just know that when I was 5-6 years old, in order to eat a piece of steamed rice and leftover soup, I had to endure blood spatters and fiery slaps from my parents. the caller feeds me. And then, when I was 10 years old, for some reason, I followed an old woman to beg for food throughout Thua Thien, Quang Tri and on market ships from one province to another, and then returned to be adopted. a family in Vinh Phuc province. For a short time, I was raped by my adoptive father, I had to run away from that humiliating house to return to living a miserable life on the North-South train.

Lived on the train for a long time about 4-5 years. On the train, I was seduced by a man about 10 years older than me and sold to a brothel in Vung Tau… To force it, the pimps tricked me and injected me with a drug that I later found out about. is drugs. In order to have money for injections and smoking, I was forced to "go to customers" but in my heart I still had the intention to escape from that dirty, stinky mud.

I myself often directly cook for people suffering from dangerous diseases that people avoid such as tuberculosis, leprosy, cancer...

.

After 3 months of living in a brothel in Vung Tau, I tricked the pimps and escaped back to Saigon. Later, I determined to fight the addiction with my will, with my will. There was no cure for addiction, no medical doctor in charge of addiction treatment, but I managed to cut my addiction in a short time…

After recovering from drug addiction, I got a job selling coffee at Bach Dang Wharf. Life quietly passed until one day a foreign customer from Taiwan named Chao Lai Wang came to drink coffee at the shop. This may be a predestined relationship that helped me get out of poverty, poverty, humiliation… to become a well-off person and help the unfortunate and miserable later. Chao Lai Wang rented me a house in District 1 so I could go home. The back house is home to dozens of homeless friends and street children.

I often hug newborn babies, 1, 2, 3... years old without parents in my arms like hugging my own biological child.

I o.

Reporter: Trials and hardships are over, humiliation is over, but what is your path to becoming a rich person?

- That's right, I overcame tribulation, humiliating pain, but still poor and needy... Then, not long after Chao Lai Wang returned home. Before parting, Chao gave me 20 taels of gold and said that I should buy a house to live in. I bought a house in District 1 for 18 taels of gold, unexpectedly just a few days later someone came and demanded to buy it back for 25 taels. I decided to sell, and as God compensated for my painful loss… Then I bought another house, and then someone else came to buy at a higher price. Just like that, less than a year, I had more than 100 taels of gold in my hand, and two or three years later I became a rich man, became a billionaire thanks to the real estate business - a billionaire who never knew how to hold a pen. Not a single word, but the heart is tolerant, generous and loves the poor endlessly.

I work both in business and in charity. The money I earn I give to orphanages, nursing homes for the lonely and sick. I myself often cook directly for people suffering from dangerous diseases that people avoid such as tuberculosis, leprosy, cancer... I often cuddle babies, 1, 2, 3... Parents in their arms like embracing their own biological children.

In 2001, I decided to set up a center to raise orphans, without parents admitting them.

.

Reporter: People often say "wealth born with courtesy" - you are rich, young, beautiful, have relationships with the elite, why not choose a husband to be loved and cared for?

- That is what I sometimes think about, but only sometimes, but what I often think about is that in my ears I still hear the pitiful cries of babies abandoned by their parents like me in the past. . Before my eyes, there are still too many miserable, unhappy, hungry lives and hundreds and thousands of orphans with disabilities who need the care and protection of benevolent hearts and the social community. . And I decided…

Reporter: Decide, but decide what?

- In 2001, I decided to set up a center to raise orphans, without parents admitting. And, on December 10, 2001, I applied for permission to open the Que Huong Humanitarian Center in Di An district, Binh Duong province. Initially, the Center raised a few dozen children, then 100, 120… Up to now, the number of children has increased to more than 345, of which there are over 80 infants aged a few months to 1, 2 years old, the rest are aged. 5-6 years old.

The center has 54 people working hard all day.

Reporter: 345 grandchildren? The number of children is so much, how to take care of foster care?

- To take care of more than 345 children, the Center has 54 people working hard all day. This is a job that very few people in this world can do. Although the Center opened a bottled water production company to earn extra income, it was still not enough. The worry of lack of food, drink, nutrients, milk, diapers...for my children has always been by my side and my associates.

Reporter: I heard that all of you have birth certificates, household registration and go to school, is that true?

- Yes, my extended family has a household registration book 2 cm thick and over 3 meters long, with over 160 people with the surname Huynh with the word Tieu. This is the thickest and longest household registration book, with the largest number of people with the same surname and initials in Vietnam (which was set a record in 2010 by the Vietnam Record Organization). It is my family's pride and also a burden on my shoulders.

Que Huong Humanitarian Center is currently nurturing nearly 400 children of all ages.

Reporter: After more than 10 years of establishing the Center, your children are probably grown up now, how many have you said?

- Established the Center in 2001, but more than 10 years before that, I raised my children in other places. Up to this point, I have taken care of nearly 4,000 children. My children have grown up now, many of them have passed their studies, are engineers, teachers, state employees... They work far away, but on the birthday of the Center (December 10), they all focus on school. old roof to review memories. Many children, when they want to get married, also return home to ask Mother Huong to organize the wedding. We have a wedding fund for our children, last year we held weddings for 4 couples right at the Center.

The center's facilities are over 1 ha with many relatively large and airy blocks of houses. A 3-storey house with about 16 bedrooms for the children and many other blocks for offices, canteens, classrooms, libraries, playgrounds... And there is also a spacious pagoda with a pure scene worshiping countless numbers of people. Buddha.

Coming to the orphans and unfortunate children here, in addition to the charitable hearts of the people in the country, there are also relatives abroad.

.

Reporter: The charity, favor of everyone and the noble rewards that society gives you?

- Come to the Que Huong Humanitarian Center, to the orphans and unfortunate children here, in addition to the charitable hearts of the people in the country, there are also relatives abroad. In 2006, I was voted by the Vietnam Women's Union as "The woman who touches the heart of Vietnam." Many other agencies and organizations also honored me as: "Vietnamese contemporary woman. ; Women raise healthy children, teach good children; World Charity Ambassador…”

Over the years, I have been honored to receive many Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister and Ministries. Central branches and provinces and cities nationwide.

To encourage and support me and the Center's team, many high-ranking State leaders such as State President Truong Tan Sang, Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, Late General Secretary Do Muoi, Le Kha Phieu, former President Le Duc Anh, Former President Nguyen Minh Triet, late General Vo Nguyen Giap, Former Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Pham The Duyet, Former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh, Truong My Hoa... and many other leaders Other senior leaders came to the Center to visit and give gifts to the children…

Ms. Huynh Tieu Huong and the late General Secretary Do Muoi.

Reporter: What are your aspirations and dreams and the Center now? Do you have something to say to people?

- My dream now is to build a charity hospital right at the center so that the children grow up to receive free medical treatment and the poor and unfortunate people with diseases have a place for free medical examination and treatment…”

Let's have a kind heart, know how to love, share the pain of unfortunate people, give them practical help, don't say anything, don't turn a blind eye to the pain of others. There is a Vietnamese proverb that says: "Good leaves make up for torn leaves", let's take that as a thought in life.

PV: Thank you very much! Wish you and Que Huong Humanitarian Center always overcome difficulties to fulfill the mission of helping orphans and unfortunate children!
