You’ve heard about the homeless we support, but it’s the people – the staff, the board, the donors, the partners, the volunteers, the ambassadors and our Mother– that make it happen every day.

Huynh Tieu Huong: 19 years, a journey of raising and taking care of 345 orphans and disabled children

Ms. Huynh Tieu Huong is a wonderful woman with a kind heart and a love as vast as the sky and the sea who have done miracles during the past 19 years. She raised and cared for 345 orphans and disabled children in unfortunate circumstances abandoned by their biological parents. She has become the mother with the largest number of children in Vietnam and also the family with the longest household registration book in Vietnam.

When it comes to Ms. Huynh Tieu Huong, everyone must know a lot about her through what she has done for the community and society. 345 orphans and disabled children. And few people know that her childhood life has also experienced many hardships and misfortunes like the children she is currently raising. Huynh Tieu Huong's childhood was also an orphan, dusty, homeless, without family, without relatives. Huynh Tieu Huong has to live wandering everywhere and earn a living to support herself. Her childhood memories are the days of hardship, dirty clothes, hungry meals, and full meals. Therefore, the ancients have a saying: "After the tribulation, come to return to the future". After many years of ups and downs, it was time for her life to turn a new page when she was helped by a benefactor.


And this is the longest household registration book she holds in her hand, reaching a Vietnamese record.

Although Ms. Huynh Tieu Huong's childhood came from an orphanage on the street, from a young age she was always aware and longing to have a family home and be protected and loved by loved ones. Therefore, when she had a pretty full life, Huynh Tieu Huong wanted to do something meaningful to help her life, to alleviate the unhappiness of street children and dusty people. With the help of her superiors, Huynh Tieu Huong dared to think, dare to do something that few people dare to think about, which is to bring and nurture orphans and dusty children. In 2001, the home of Que Huong was officially born. Since then, orphans, disabled, and dusty children have had a place to put their faith and they feel that their lives still have meaning. Currently, Mother Huynh Tieu Huong is raising 345 orphans and disabled children with her own financial resources and with the support of the community and society.




With boundless love, Mother Huynh Tieu Huong cares for and loves children like her own children.

Huynh Tieu Huong shared: " When she was very young,  Tieu Huong  had no relatives, so she had a lot of love for the children. When the children were healthy, Tieu Huong was happy, when the children were sick,  Tieu Huong 's eyes were closed. also dark circles due to anxiety. There are children who are still red when Tieu Huong comes home, but warmed by the warmth of their mother, they grow up over the years. The children of that unmarried mother kept increasing. Although there are many children, but Tieu Huong remembers each child's name one by one, and the children surround their mother all day long. At first, Tieu Huong took care of the children to have a home, enough food, enough clothing, and took care of them when they were sick. But they cannot stop there, they also need to study, play and develop comprehensively, so that they can integrate into the community. From that thought, Tieu Huong planned to expand the scale and develop the Center, this must be a place to nurture and educate the children until they are mature and stable to enter life. Up to now, the Homeland Humanitarian Center has had a very spacious premises, where the children's study and accommodation are much better than before. Over the past 19 years, from only 2,000m2, the Center has now developed 12,000m2 of land with full infrastructure such as: cafeteria, kindergarten classroom, vocational training room, housing area for boys, female; playground, temple of the Huynh family... Today, the Homeland Humanitarian Center has put on a new look, the home of the Que Huong family is more and more warm, sheltering 345 orphans and unfortunates.

International organizations regularly visit and send volunteers to help.


Currently, although she is carrying many diseases, her heart is still full of enthusiasm and ambition with volunteer work to bring good things to society. Huynh Tieu Huong vows to continue to devote herself to the work of helping the poor and homeless, and will continue to raise orphaned and disabled children, create jobs so that when they grow up, they will become adults. will be useful to society and the country. With many diseases in her body tormenting her every day, she had to go to the United States to get treatment by advanced technology and good doctors. During the time she was being treated in the United States, the Covid pandemic broke out, so she was stuck until now and still has not been able to return, but the heart of a mother is always directed and every day remembers her children.



The children are growing up, learning well, being obedient and obedient.


Some of them have now grown up, integrated into the community, working to support themselves and be useful to society.


Ms. Huynh Tieu Huong added: Currently, Tieu Huong is still stuck in the United States and has not been able to return to her children, so in the past time, the children have encountered many difficulties and deprivations in daily life. Moreover, with the number of over 300 children in adulthood, the children's necessities for daily living are increasing, such as food, clothing, study books, personal belongings, and daily activities. .. really need the help of the community and society to continue to create conditions to help the children have more energy to live better and also join hands with Tieu Huong to help them continue to go to school. Currently, Que Huong Humanitarian Center is facing many financial difficulties to raise and take care of the children. We hope that the sponsors, benefactors, benefactors... for your future care and help, Being godparents helps the children have better living conditions, study well. Think about how difficult it is for a single mother like Tieu Huong to raise one or two children with over 300 children. Tieu Huong is looking forward to the cooperation and contribution of the whole community to help her children have a fuller and more convenient life in learning until adulthood and integrate into the community.
